Framed Films Inc. was incorporated on December 2nd, 2005, as a film and video production company in Regina, Saskatchewan. It is owned and operated by Jason Britski.
The aim of Framed Films Inc. is to produce thought provoking work for worldwide exhibition (broadcast and theatrical).
Framed Films Inc. is seeking to create innovative work from subject matter that often falls outside of the mainstream. A strong commitment to the craft of filmmaking provides the foundation for Framed Films Inc.
Jason Britski, President of Framed Films Inc., has produced, directed, photographed, and edited numerous internationally acclaimed 16mm films and videos that have screened at approximately 150 venues in 20 countries - at 51 film festivals, in various art galleries and museums, and have been broadcast in Canada on SCN, Bravo, Knowledge Network, and the CBC. Internationally Jason’s work has been broadcast by Kudstkanaal in the Netherlands, on DU-TV in Philadelphia, and in the United Kingdom by Propeller and Green TV. Jason has also had four retrospectives of his work, with the most recent being held in Ottawa and hosted by the Canadian Film Institute, IFCO, and Saw Video in 2007.
Jason was also the co-creator, along with Ian Toews, of the documentary TV series Landscape as Muse. Jason served as a Producer, Director, Sound Recordist, and Editor during Season One. This series has been broadcast on Bravo!, SCN, Knowledge Network, CBC Bold, CBC Documentary, The Arts Channel in New Zealand, and in the Netherlands on AVRO.
Recently, Framed Films Inc. produced the documentary TV series entitled, Truth or Tale, which was broadcast on SCN.
